The children have been writing their own poems and were given the opportunity to perform them to their peers.
We had a fantastic time exploring Shakespeare's 'The Tempest' with Jo. She did lots of drama with us which really brought the play to life for us and we enjoyed sharing part of it with the rest of the school at the end of the day.
This week Yr 3/4 visited the Tutankhamun Museum to kick start their topic on Ancient Egypt. It was so exciting so see replicas of mummies, canopic jars, natron bags and even ground up mummies that people used as a medicine! Egyptians mummified everything from falcons to crocodiles to cats! We also explored the discovery on Tutankhamun's tomb- we had never seen so much "gold" in one place before! A fantastic trip to be followed up with some fabulous learning.
Safewise day 2. We had a brilliant time learning about fire safety in the home, how important it is not to make hoax calls to the emergency services and how to keep ourselves safe on the roads. We all had a go riding on a mobility scooter as well!
