Please Note that tomorrow is
(Friday 17th July 2015)
What a busy time we have had over the past couple of weeks – I hope that you have enjoyed all of the events and activities that have been taking place.
Thank you very much for your kind donations of books for Africa, we were able to send 12 x 15kg boxes which we know will much such a difference.
We are finishing at 12.30pm on the last day of term; we will be having an early lunch then Registration before finishing for the summer on Friday 17th July. Please ensure that your children take absolutely everything home with them at the end of term. The children all change classrooms next term and belongings will get lost if left in school by mistake.
As this will be the last newsletter of the term, and my very last newsletter to you all, I would like to wish you all a very happy and relaxing summer (hopefully the sunshine will continue!) You and your children have been an absolute delight and a pleasure to work with for the past 16 years. I will miss the children very much indeed. Finally I would like to wish you and your families all the best for the future here and in your new schools.
With Very Best Wishes

Parent Governor Vacancy
As of September we will have a vacancy for a parent governor to join our governing body. There are no particular qualifications or requirements other than a willingness to give time to the role and a capacity for working with other people.
The role of the governing body is a strategic one, its key functions are to set the aims and objectives for the school, set the policies and targets for achieving those aims and objectives, monitor and evaluate the progress the school is making towards achievement of its aims and objectives and finally to be a source of challenge and support to the head teacher.
If you think you would be interested in becoming a parent governor and have the ability to attend up to three meetings a term, which take place on a Wednesday at 4 pm.
Please contact Zoe Huckle, the Clerk to the governing body
firstname.lastname@example.org, alternatively you can pop into the school office.
