What a lovely week we had with the Harvest celebrations. The children very much enjoyed singing at the Garrison Church and showing you their work at the Harvest Crafts Café.
Thank you so much for your very kind donations of food for the Wareham food bank.
From Monday we are changing our start of day routines for the benefit and safety of the children. Reception children should be brought through the school gate and around to the Top Playground where they should be dropped off with the supervision that will be there.
There will be more staff on duty in the morning and parents may want to drop off messages to these duty staff. Please note, that when the bell goes, although teachers will be collecting their classes from the playground they will not have time to talk to parents as they need to get their children promptly registered and to assembly. Parents that want to talk to teachers should either catch them at the end of the day or make an appointment through the School Office.
I, or another senior teacher, will always try to be available on the gate for you to talk to so please feel free. Feedback and questions are always welcome.
Finally, as I hope you will have seen, we have a group of parents that are in the process of setting up a new PTA for the school.
I know that they are interested in recruiting like minded and supportive parents so if you are prepared to offer to help, even if you can only do a little bit, I know that they would love to hear from you. You can find out more by enquiring at the school office.
Have a great weekend!
